What Are The Different Types Of Facebook Advertising? News Feed Ads vs. Boosted Posts
There are many different types of Facebook advertising available to you and which kind(s) you utilize all depend on your goal.
News Feed Ads
These kinds of ads are the ones that you see when you’re scrolling through your News Feed, whether it’s on the main feed or on the right hand column. When creating one of these ads, you want to have your goal in mind, such as bringing more people to your website or getting more people to like your Facebook Page. These ads include one or more images or a video, copy and a call to action. For example, you could include a button that says “Shop Now” or “Learn More” as your call to actions. These ads still fill your News Feed, however, they take the form of a page post. You can boost status updates, photos and videos from your business’ Facebook page. Once you have boosted a post, it will appear higher in the News Feed for your targeted audience in order to increase how many people are exposed to your post. This kind of advertising is generally easier to run, as you can do it right from your business’ page or from your Multibrain account. This saves you from having to go into the Facebook Ad Manager, like you would do for News Feed ads.
What Kind Of Facebook Advertising Should I Use?
No matter what kind of Facebook advertising you decide to do, you will need to set up an Ad Account on Facebook. If you are looking to increase the number of people who see your product via a photo or video posts, then we suggest boosting your posts. It will amplify your post to your target audience. By getting new people engaged with your content, you now have new contacts you can reach out to or invite to like your page.
If you are looking to directly increase traffic to your website or directly increase the number of people who like your Facebook business page, then we suggest News Feed Ads. These ads help with a wider range of business goals, which may be more helpful depending on what you are trying to accomplish. It’s also good to note that the more money you spend on Facebook Advertising, the more results you will garner.
